The solid, elevated construction, numerous wire-mesh vents little size get this to coop an appropriate, safe home for the ducks – winter and summer time/rain or shine.

Cleanup is definitely accomplished from outdoors – no crawling within the coop – while using HINGED ROOF access. Three FLOOR-LEVEL NESTING BOXES also having a hinged roof make gathering eggs easy.

Using just fundamental tools – circular saw, jigsaw, hammer, electric drill/screwdriver, etc. it is simple to build this during the period of a weekend.

Colored a fairly historic brown with white-colored ‘gingerbread’ trim, a cedar plank shingle hinged roof and black barn hinges, a home is attractive in addition to functional. The vinyl linoleum floor inside is able to be engrossed in shavings/straw and combined with the hinged coop roof makes cleaning very simple. With metal mesh air vents and three nesting boxes on walk out also having a hinged roof, the coop creates a is completely safe home for the ducks winter and summer time.

The home measures 4′ x 6′ excluding the nesting boxes – big enough for approximately 6 ducks – and it has three attached nesting boxes (each roughly 12" square) having a hinged lid to gather the eggs without getting to visit inside, side air vents with latching doorways, a latching front round vent along with a locked door having a ramp filled with safety railings for the ducks to go into and out. The home also offers a hinged roof for simple access to clean, refilling water and food.

Made to sit in the large run, you are able to rather easily build a connected pen of your design (proven within the photos although not incorporated within the plans) quietly opposite the hinged roof.

Original plans, created by me in nov 2012.

Lisa of Fresh Eggs Daily: I had six in there, but remember they had a huge run to be in during the day.

JesusReallyDoesLoveYou dot com: That is great, thank you!

Fittay Munh Vines: hmmm I like it….

Mona Lisa: Lisa, do you and your family eat the duck eggs? That's why I wanted ducks. They're heartier than chickens and their eggs are larger and more nutrient dense. We should be getting eggs in about 9 weeks. Thanks for all the great info. I love your channel.

Lisa of Fresh Eggs Daily: Hi there. We do! We love duck eggs. They ARE healthier than chicken eggs and I think they taste better! Lisa
