Coop tour recap

October 30, 2017 | By alex | Filed in: Chicken Coop Tour The Garden Coop.

Well, we attempted our very best, but there wasn’t any way possible we would see all 29 coops all disseminate in San antonio within the 5 hrs from the tour.  I attempted to select which of them to go to according to their descriptions and when there is an outdoor(er) present. Fortunately we could see 14 coops by which several had fabulous gardens.  All the hosts were incredibly sweet willing and able to talk about what they’ve learned. A few of the homes were full of people there were lines to obtain interior and exterior the backyards! I did not finish up getting an excessive amount of coop envy – but at a few of the homes within the Edible Garden tour, I had been surprised about most of the crops when compared with my meager vegetable garden in South Snohomish County… my tomato plants are pretty pathetic compared. Darn convergence zone! Oh the way i wanted I resided inside a warmer microclimate…

Overall, the majority of the coops were very practical. Listed here are a couple of from the highlights from ones that actually was out:

This adorable custom cottage coop is at the Wallingford area was colored inside too, and looked might cozy for just about any chicken! The builder were built with a flier offering to construct more in a cost tag of nearly $2000.

This contemporary coop is at the Greenlake area and it was designed and built with a local architect.  I really like the look and materials used.

This little chicken tractor is really a custom surf shack!  Is it not darling?

It was our last stop during the day within the Lake City area.  It had been hot so we counseled me tired.  There is a fairly large coop as well as an amazing garden too – the chickens were built with a run within the raspberry beds.  Note around the carport roof was several beehives!  This gardener also had mason bees he looked after.

I’m searching forward to another tour over a couple of days in Everett WA!
